The best place for ale in Oxford! Hidden away down a small alley, this pub is the hardest to find in town but the rewards are great when you do! Serving a great variety of real ale and my favorite, Old Rosie Scrumpy, they have something for everyone. Line up at one of the two bars but if you are at the round bar and more than 5'11'', watch your head.

The food here is better-than-average pub grub and Sunday Roast is worth a trip.

Inside, the Turf is pretty small but it is surrounded by three beer gardens that are (mostly) covered and are heated during the winter. In the back, the coal braziers are great for roasting marshmellows.

Also, for the history buffs, this place is full of it! It is where a former POTUS did NOT inhale and were a former Australian PM set a World Record for drinking a yard of ale.

Search this place out and you will not be disappointed!
