Commercial Description

"Serious hop bitterness, along with an unyielding grapefruit bouquet from the Amarillo dry-hop, balances the malty richness of four varieties of imported Belgian caramel malts. Pours a spectacular crimson with a creamy tan head. A generous addition of rye malt accentuates a spicy, crisp finish."

This beer pores a ruby crimson red. The aroma is of citrusy hops with a hint of rye spice. The taste is of glories citrusy hop bitterness with some light spice notes. I really enjoyed this beer I just wish it came in a bigger bottle I didn't want this one to end. I highly recommend this one to anyone.

    [Suggested Glassware: Lager Glass]

The pour was a murky medium reddish brown with an average (1-2 finger) light cream colored pillowy head that had good retention and excellent sheeting of sticky lacing.

The aroma was of a dark bread malt, floral hops and a sweaty yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (grapefruit), rye and a mild sweet fruity ester.

The taste was a malty bitter-sweet with a hint of caramel from the onset, progressing into a bold hoppy citrus bitter with a touch of rye and a mild sweetness at the end. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow with a slight citrus peel bitterness left lying on the taste buds.

Mouthfeel was right between light and medium in body with a dry and slightly oily texture and a medium carbonation.

Overall this brewer never seem to disappoint, this was a nice hoppy brew with a slight doughy sweetness and just the right touch of rye...

Hops, malt, and rye. It's aggressive but won't knock you over, and the flavor profile is complex, but won't leave you bumbling for words (unless you have too many). Beautiful color, head, aroma. A great version of a rye beer.
