Anchor Steam is a great west coast hoppy beer. Not to overpowering, the caramel color of the beer is refreshing to look at. When you take the beer into perspective though (especially those IPA lovers) - you'll find that the aftertaste of this beer resonates throughout the palate in a delightful manner.
Rather than cringe at the taste, it welcomes another sip or two. I found that while it wasn't easy to "chug" the beer like light beers, it certainly left me wanting more of it (in a good way).
I would recommend if you haven't tried this beer at least give it a go around.
This is a remarkable beer. As Sierra Nevada's flagship beer, there is a reason that so many people drink it at the local watering hole - with a full flavored bite and crisp finish it is one of Sierra Nevada's best.
Usually, I get it on tap since I see it at the bars, but that doesn't mean drinking it from the bottle is any worse. I would recommend pouring into a glass though, so you can truly stick your nose in and appreciate the fullness of the beer. Overall, the bite and the feeling after you drink a sip is my favorite feeling when drinking this beer. Its hard to stop after just one!
This is one of the worst beers out there. It tastes like piss and looks like it too. The good thing about the beer is you can't really smell how bad it tastes prior to drinking it. After you take the first sip though, you instantly regret it.
I think that while it may be the favorite of some people from the 60's and 70's - they need to venture out and try some real beers!
This is not a bad choice from Bud Light. I actually like this a lot better than your traditional bud light or bud light lime. It has a wheat flavor like blue moon, but finishes off like a bud light (which you could consider to be a good or bad thing).
I enjoyed the color, because it actually had color vs. looking like urine (bud light's normal look). I'd tell people to at least try the beer before knocking it off the list.
This is an amazing beer - it really leaves an aftertaste in your mouth that can't be rivaled by any.
I normally like Belgium beers and this is one of them that hooked me. Mainstream enough to catch your attention, drink this if you want to walk down the path of higher ABV beers.
