What looks like an amazing lager (from the glass) actually has an awkward taste after the fact (esp referring to the palate). The aroma smells of citrus and light, which is comforting to most lager drinkers.
However, unfortunately, for those who are unaware of the unusual Indian Beer's bite - it comes off as a bit strong compared to the alternatives that you potentially could purchase from the same restaurant.
That being said, this is a beer with a great variation on your traditional lager. I would suggest trying it evne if you aren't in an Indian restaurant they are available in beer convenience stores around the nation - so pick one up and give it a try for yourself.
Very trendy place for college kids and people coming back to the city to visit friends. This is not a beer bar by any means (you'll find bud light and the likes here). I would not recommend it if you are looking for a place to try the latest craft brews.
While this beer looked very pleasurable on the surface and it smelled like your traditional belgian ale. I would argue that the taste of this brew doesn't mimic is true cousins.
While a smooth drink, it lacks the flavors that you would expect and doesn't enrich your mouth with the same citrus / malt that you would expect. It left me wanting more and didn't satisfy my overall desire for a belgian ale.
Overall, this beer has a smooth taste. I consumed it after an ABITA Purple Haze and a Young's Double Chocolate Stout at a beer tasting and I was pleased to go back to a pale ale.
The feel in your mouth is smooth and gives the same full flavor a traditional pale ale should give. There isn't a bite similar to Sierra Nevada or the hoppier beers out there. This beer is something that I would give to a person who likes pale ales but doesn't like hops.
The chub is certainly worthy of its name. This beer came in a can and was supplied by our friends at All About Beer. Well we didn't expect the dark hue when it was poured from the can - certainly after tasting it, we r ealized this beer wasn't for the bud light drinking wimp. This beer was meant to put some hair on your chest and leave some lumps of coal in your stomach.
Certainly, I wouldn't recommend drinking this in mass quantities. In fact, one may be enough for a weeks worth of drinking - but its definitely something you need to try in your lifetime to say you are worth of Old Chub.
This beer leaves a funky after taste in your moth for a hefewizen. It is definitely on the top of the list for flying dog though. I would certainly drink this - but it is not a go to hefeweizen. If you want a real one - start looking east.
This beer is fantastic to have with a slice of lime in it. The dark version of "Modelo Especial" this leaves a lingering feeling on the palate.
You can sip on this beer and feel a little filled up afterwards, which is not the normal reaction for most mexican brews. I would definitely recommend those who have tried Mexican beers to venture out and try this one as well.
