I love beer. I'm fortunate to live in an area that is very beer centric. I live five minutes away from nearly a dozen brewerys and brew pubs so drinking beer is not just a hobby it's a way of life. I spend a good portion of my free time drinking beer, reading about beer and seeking new and exciting beers to enjoy. I encourage everyone to DRINK MORE BEER!

What more can be said about this old stand-by.

Poured into my pint glass the beer is dark chocolate brown with some blood red edges when held to a light. The creamy mocha head is a full inch that recedes leaving a fair amount of lace rings.

The aroma is not a strong as I would have expected. Roasted malt, coffee, cocoa mild bitterness.

The flavor is oh so yummy. Smooth roasted malt with hints of chocolate and raisins. A bitter black coffee bitterness rounds things out in a good way.

Medium to full chewy body. Not much carbonation, which makes it velvety smooth.

Overall a fantastic oatmeal stout. I could drink this all day.

Poured into my pint glass the beer is crystal clear red-orange. About one inch of tan head rises to the top and almost escapes. No lacing is left behind after settling.

The aroma is spicy with loads of malt and touch of hops. The nose is spot on with what I think a marzen should smell like.

The flavor is quite spicy. Maybe too much spice. Very bready. Sweet and malty with just touch of hops on the finish.

Medium to light body with mild carbonation.

Overall a decent marzen. A bit too spicy for my tastes. I'm glad we are almost through with the fall seasonals. I think I'm about done with this style for a bit.

Poured into my pint glass the beer is golden orange and slightly cloudy. The stark white head reaches an inch or so tp the top of my glass. It settles leaving gobs of lace around my glass.

The aroma is a very nice boquet of hops with juicy pineapple and grapefruit. Sweet and pleasant all around. Hints of malt can be picked up with deep whiffs.

The flavor is a nice balance of hops and malt. Bitter oranges and grapefruit side by side with sweet smooth malt. Definite wheat cracker finish. Very easy on the tastebuds.

Medium to light body. Maybe a little lighter in the mouth then I would have expected. Plenty of carbonation.

Overall a real nice beer. A bit on the tame side for FFF but you can't make everything a hop bomb. Great for sessioning.

I was planning on sitting on this bad boy but everytime I looked at my beer stash this one begged to be drank.

Poured into my pint glass the beer is black as night. Maybe a slight tint of brown can be seen when holding it directly in front of a lamp. A careful pour gives me about a half inch of light brown head that dissipates leaving lace rings all around the rim.

The aroma is roasted coffee beans, burnt malt, dark chocolate with maybe a hint of dark fruit from the high abv.

The flavor is a fantastic mix of rich coffee dark and milk chocolate and toasted bread. This is spot on RIS. The dry bitter coffee blended with the chocolate make for a perfect balance of flavor. The high ABV can hardly be detected at all.

Medium to full body. A touch slick for my tastes. A decent amount of carbonation.

A mighty fine RIS in my book. A sipper for sure but I wouldn't mind have a few of these on a cold Wisconsin night. Too bad it's next to impossible to get round these parts.

Well the label looks like christmas so I will say this is my first christmas beer.

Poured into my chimay goblet the beer is dark orange brown. The off withe head is a least an inch high and fully envlopes the entire top of my glass. Lots of sticky lace clings around the rim after a brief rest.

The aroma is very hoppy. Plenty of grapefruit and pine sap. Some maltiness is there as well.

The flavor is subdued hops with loads of malt. Some grapefruit but not overloaded. The bready wheat cracker malt takes the reigns and drives this beer.

Medium body light carbonation. Nothing real noteworthy in the feel.

Overall a decent beer. I'm not sure what sets this apart from every other AIPA. Drinkable.

Poured into my chimay gobblet the beer is muddy brown with about an inch of tan head. Moderate lace is left behind after settling.

The aroma is spicy malt. Some dark fruit with a dirt like earthiness.

The flavor is malty and spicy. Dark fruits hints of chocolate and tart apples.

Medium body with just a touch of carbonation.Light and lively on the tongue.

Overall a very nice beer. I could see cracking a few of these tonight.

    My first gueuze. I'm excited.

Poured into a wine glass the beer is sparkaling golden hued with little to no head. It looks alot like champaigne actually.

The aroma is very tart. A musky barnyard funk abounds from my glass. Dry fruitiness of lemons and grapefruit.

The flavor is fantastic. Super dry tart fruit. Some sweetness but mostly mouth puckering sour apples and lemons. I love it. Very white wine like. Some of the barnyard funk can be found in the finish.

Light body with just enough carbonation to bounce on the tongue. Super dry finish that litterally makes my teeth crunchy.

Overall I am in love with this style. I'm in love with this beer. I will be seeking out more of this style for sure.

Poured into my glass the beer is a rosy orange brown color. A gentle pour produces little head which in turn leaves little lace. Not the beers fault i guess.

The aroma is super spiced up malt. Heavy grassy earthy tone is the main player. It reminds me of fresh vine rippened tomatoes straight from the garden.

The flavor is robust mix of wheat and corn. Caramel, spices maybe a touch of hops. A marzen on 11 if you will.

    Medium body plenty of carbonation.

Overall a very nice fest beer. Per the usual recipe at three floyds a fest beer with some muscle.
