  • Brief Bio:
I started seriously tasting and reviewing beer during fall of 2009 after tasting, about a year earlier, in november 2008, a Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van De Keizer Rood. This was a decisive moment because it was the first time I enjoyed a high quality beer and it triggered a long hidden passion.

I have the chance to live in Qu├ębec, where the microbrewery industry is flourishing exponentially and I wish to use Beer Universe to promote our products and give people good reasons to travel over here and have a beer!

I was fortunate enough to lay my hands on more than 230 labels from over 20 countries so far, and I keep discovering new products everytime I can. I have a preference for Abts, Belgian Strong Dark Ales and Imperial Russian Stouts but I also enjoy discovering new beers of any style from around the world.

My ambition is to try out as many beers I can in the next 40 years.

I also like pairing beer and foods or better yet, incorporate beer in any given recipe to boost up flavours in stews and casseroles.

Nice full-bodied beer that I liked a lot. I think it's a knotch under Leffe Brown which is a very tasty beer. An everyday easy belgian beer if there is such a thing.

Dark gold coat with bright and refreshing notes and an interesting sweetness. Nice bitterness adds up to the overall apprecitation. Good pilsner and I liked it less than the Wesnesgruner which I thought had a more balanced taste.

Got my hands on a 2010 bottled specimen to have it aged for a while to let this brew grow with complexity. To be continued.

Great product I had delivered at a 7/11 in Montreal during winter 2009. I still remember being in shock for paying 20$ for a bottle but boy were those dollars worth it. Awesome bold flavour!

Have to say, one of the best ''thick'' dark beers I've tried. Creamy, bold and full of flavour. For anyone willing to discover new beers, this one sets the bases for future stout trials.

Intense and complex floral nose that I liked a lot. The taste is light with hints of honey and caramel (a bit too sweet to my liking). Overall good but not great.

Nice golden robe that surprised me with its high carbonation. The head is bright and creamy and the nose fresh, malty and floral. On the tongue you get a light hoppy taste with lots of malts. Nice product!

I find this one a little more delicate than 'Fin du Monde' with a sweeter aroma and a creamier taste. You get the presence of lemongrass on both the aroma and taste. The head is thick and well retained. Sharp, zesty an refreshing.
