With the initial pour, it appears rather thin, colored a clear pale honey-yellow. Thick wisps of a wheaty haze fall as it sits, eventually clouding the entire brew and darkening the color to a more uniform honey-gold – though the thickness remains 0n the thin side. The carbonation is quick and sparkling, erupting as it hits the glass and building a nice 3-finger thick head of thin, lacy foam that sticks around for quite a while afterwards, falling into a gossamer ring and sheer patches as I sip it. While the bubbles seem hardy enough, they refuse to stick to the side of the glass, leaving no trace it was ever there.

    Great Name!
    Not a great beer...
I was at Giant Eagle when I came across this beer and I thought it looked interesting so I picked some up. First of all, it comes in cans which is weird for a craft brew. 21st Amendment says they do it because it's cheaper and cans preserve beer longer. I don't know if that's true but whatever.

When pouring the can I noticed almost no head at all. There was a decent lace but that doesn't make up for the fact that the beer was flatter than a six year old girl. It poured a light hazy yellow, much like a Bud Light with a little sand in it. The aroma? There was none. I've seen other raters claim that they smelled something, but I think they had the wrong beer. As far as the taste goes, it has a very light wheat taste with a little watermelon afterward. It's very subtle and unfortunately it becomes less and less as the beer goes on. Hops? None. Malt? Nadda. Just wheat and watermelon. Overall, I suggest tasting the beer if you see a single can somewhere, but don't waist your time or money on a 6-pack.. I was hoping for a neat summer brew, but was heavily disappointed.

    N. Faint hint of watermelon but not much, touch of sweetness as well, smells like a wheat beer

So another beer that made the trip down south with el Nadador. This was a bit of a surprise. It poured just like a standard wheat beer, and while I expected to smell watermelon from the crack of the can, it had a very low odor. In fact the nose was almost a bit too weak. The taste of this beer reminds me of a watermelon airhead, but not as artificial on the watermelon side. There is a nice almost sour attack to the beer then it mellows out perfectly leaving a nice hint of watermelon on the palette. Very light and easy to drink. This is the perfect summer beer! Really a pleasant surprise of a beer.
