Pours a dark amber in color with ruby/copper if held up to the light. Very small off-white head that (surprisingly) does produce minor lacing. Aroma is malty, slightly sweet with plenty of lightly roasted malts. Not that much on the hop side. Flavor is also quite malty, somewhat sweet, but the hops fill in some of the background to keep it more balanced. Roasted malts is still the dominant flavor. Slight sourness at the end
