[Best served in a Lager glass]

The pour was a hazy dark amber with an average sized (1-2 finger) creamy white head that lasted a little while and produced excellent lacing that stuck to the glass rather nicely.

The aroma was very weak of a mild crystal malt and a moldy yeast with a very light hint of nutmeg and pumpkin.

It tasted bitter and acidic with just an ever so light hint of nutmeg in the beginning and finished about the same with a harsh bite of pumpkin rind at the end. The flavor lasted a long time letting the taste of rind hang around way to long.

Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and dry in texture with a very lively carbonation

Overall this did not really even taste like a Pumpkin Ale which was rather disappointing.

Poured into my pint glass the beer is an orange hue with hints of red and brown. The off white head is maybe a half in high and leaves minimal lace.

The aroma is a muted mix of pumpkin and pumpkin spice. More malty then anything. The pumpkin is there it just doesn't put up a huge fight.

The flavor is rather malty. Some cinnimon and nutmeg can be discerned if you concentrate. This is more a malt loaded ale that had some pumpkin pie flavor splashed in. I find it a bit tart.

Medium to light body with plenty of carbonation. Maybe too much. Rather light in the mouth.

Overall another half hearted attempt at a pumpkin ale. I wish these big brewers would put some time and effort into crafting a good pumpkin beer. They don't make anything year round that's worth my time. Why not make something once a year I would want to drink?

I recall having this beer 4 years ago, and I thought it had the most wonderful "squash-like" aftertaste - very unique......what happened to that?? It doesn't taste the same now, nor did it last year or the year before. I like this beer, don't get me wrong - but is there any actual pumpkin in it now? Was there before? Great color, nice, even spicing (not overwhelming like some other pumpkin beers), and easy to drink. Not too heavy on the palate. I bought this beer again hoping that maybe with all the new and up and coming pumpkin beers being produced, that perhaps this one would have tried to remain a bit more competitive. It's good though, obviously I bought it again and would do so in the future. I'm just confused on it's ingredients.
