Commercial Description

Labatt Blue is the best-selling Canadian beer in the world. Introduced in 1951 as Labatt Pilsener, it was named for the colour of its label by fans of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers football team. Blue was the first brand in Canada with a twist-off cap and won the silver medal in the International Lager category at the 1998 Brewing Industry International Awards. Labatt Blue, brewed using specially selected aromatic hops, is a well-balanced, fully matured, full-flavoured beer with a fruity character and a slightly sweet aftertaste.

OK, this is just a plain American Lager (Yes, it's from Canada, but I'm using American as the Americas) But it's named after my hometowns team, It's available everywhere here and it's not a tall glass of piss known as Budweiser. Also, Hang some empty king cans from string on your hotel door and people know that's where to party with Canadians.

Poured ice cold to a 16oz mug

Clear straw yellow with a quickly dissipating white head. There is some minimal lacing.

Smells of soaked ripened pears in water.

Taste is crisp pilsner malt with a quick hop bite. Clean watery finish with a tart pear aftertaste.

Quaffable and light. A good brew for the golf cart or out fishing.
