This BIG, BOLD, SMOOTH, DARK, DELICIOUS Imperial Stout is simply beautiful. The INEBRIATOR STOUT weighs in at 9.1% alcohol by volume; consider yourself warned.

    [Best served in a Snifter]

Poured a murky pitch black with a large rocky light brown head that lasted throughout and had excellent lacing. The aroma was definitely intense with strong dark roasted malts and a leathery yeast that had notes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and a mild caramel sweetness with just a hint of alcohol. It tasted fantastic to say the least, it started with a mild sweetness that had hints of caramel and coffee. The flavor then progressed into a bitter-sweet coffee flavor with the finish having a strong presence of dark chocolate and left the flavor lingering on the palate for a nice long time. Mouthfeel was nice and full in body and creamy in texture, although slightly watery at the end with a soft carbonation. Overall a superior Imperial Stout!!!!

Pours just like you would expect. Black as the abyss with a dark tan head. The complex flavor consists of roasted rye bread, dark fruits, with a bitter finish. It's very good, but perhaps not as full and beat-you-over-the-head aggressive as other RISs. Probably the easiest drinking RIS I have had. The bitterness takes quite a while to saunter off, as well.

This is a great beer. Aroma is choco smoky. Taste is rich and each sip gets more complex and brings out the aromas. You can put the down quickly despite the high abv. The loss in appearance from me come from a weak head and lacing, but I'd rather have the beer remain the same than get an increase in appearance. Get a few of these and let one sit a room temp for 6 months. You won't be disappointed.

Very dark brown/black with a nice tan head. Aroma is a heady mix of roasty malt, coffee and spicy hops. Flavor is a complex mix of roasted malts, coffee and bitter hops. Creamy with notes of caramel. Not any hint of the astringency that sometimes comes with black patent malt and even though it is 9% alcohol it is well hidden.
